Jain Desi and Pure
A logo design project for Jain Desi and Pure. The company is a food based company specializing in oils, different flours, seeds and dry fruits. The company was in the process of building their online presence and wanted a fresh logo. They wanted it to feel organic and related to soil. They wanted the logo to convey freshness and going back to basics in this advanced lifestyle.
Exploration
Ideation
The company gave me some words I could work off of to create a logo which would adapt to their brand easily. I also did some of my own research and came up with a list of workds that could guideme in this process. The words came rfom Origion, Organic Feel, Related to roots and Pure/Desi Feel. I started off by drawing rough sketches and exploring different logo options. Since the name was too long, we needed a symbol or emblem which could be printed in small scale packaging as well.
Shortlisting
The best 6 sketches were taken and translated into options fo the client. Each option explained the type of logo and the meaning/ interpretation of each logo.
Final Design
Digitization
After the client chose the direction they wanted to go with, I started to digitize the logo.
Color Scheme
The client already had a color scheme in mind and so I worked with that scheme to translate the logo in the coloured version.
Logo Suite
I ended up making a logo suite for the brand. This included an emblem (with and without color) which served as a primary logo. A horizonatal and vertical logo (with and without color) and symbolic version (color, black and white) which can be used in small scale prints or as favicons.
